Album - Local Superstar
2026

Debut album featuring both songwriters “Local Superstar” is a real collaboration of songwriting, music and lyrics.

The album is structured like an old Vinyl LP with two distinct sides. Side A is fast paced attacking indie rock while Side B is more laid back and reflective. A mood change that relies on piano and atomosphere and samples.

Check out the singles “You’re in a Daydream”, “Bright Young Things” and “No War Radio Dreaming”.

The artwork is a photo of Jack Price the Ferryman, who lived in Seagull Cottage in Parrog. The band have stayed in the house many times and the cottage and that stretch of coast are very dear to their hearts…

EP - We Are Here Now
2024

This 5 track EP started as demos created during lockdown.

This EP is a total departure to the previous acoustic/folky vibes of “I Just Want To Go Outside”. The sound relies more on electronic beats and synth sounds. Looking for a different vibe the guitars made way for Korgs.

The songs explore departures and new beginnings and finding meaning and joy is small moments and simple things in the world as we find it.

The artwork is part of painting by Eleanor Mulligan.

Single - In The Sunlight
2024

“In the Sunlight” was the first release by the band in over two years and marked a sea change in style and production.

The song has a trip hop feel over-laid with haunting guitar feedback and sustained chords on a grand piano while the vocal repeats a single refrain.

The song started life with lots of lyrics, one of which being a picture of a woman, slow and content in a beam of sunlight, a repeating image from a dream or a childhood memory.

The song felt more hypnotic stripped back to the simplest line; “In the sunlight, she feels alright”.

Album - Beat Fuzz
2021

Joel went even further in lock down, as well as writing 15 songs with Russ he also created a whole album on his own on a digital 8-track recorder.

The album uses simple beats and samples as a backing for each song and captures elements of alternative music and folk. Combined with honest heartfelt lyrics and a lowkey demo feel, the album has a a distinct and quirky British feel.

The artwork is another daily visual from life under lockdown. A painting of their house on the side of the garden shed.

EP - I Just Want To Go Outside
2020

A 5 track acoustic EP from songs written and demoed in 2019 and then recorded remotely during Covid.

The EP title is a lyric from the first track, written before the lockdowns but given a whole new meaning when we were recording the tunes from home.

The songs are short and simple and laced with themes of nostalgia for the old world, childhood, acceptance and mortality.

Everything was homemade including the artwork.

“This is the first painting Joel’s son made at school. It was hanging on the fridge door. We didn’t want anything random, everything had to have meaning to us.”
